Sakuranobaba Josaien

The recreated castle town known as Sakuranobaba Josaien opened in March 2011. It is a tourist spot built around the concept of promoting Kumamoto's history and culture as well as its local products. Josaien is located in the middle of town and at the foot of Kumamoto Castle, the symbol of the city. Guests can take time off from the party to peruse and enjoy a plethora of local products and cuisine from all parts of the prefecture. The stage surrounded by water in the middle of Josaien can be used for events and performances. The venue also has a multi-purpose social space with a lobby rest area and waiting room perfect for a wide range of other purposes, such as receptions, conferences, and lectures.
