Honda Kumamoto Welcome Park Tour
"Real technology is that which makes people happy."
Immediately after World War II, Soichiro Honda had the idea to attach an engine to a bicycle, a common form of personal transportation at the time. His invention was inspired by his wife, who struggled traveling long distances every day for groceries, and it quickly became popular around the world. He believed his creation would make people happy. The passion poured into that little engine has helped bring us to the present and will continue to carry us into the future.
Honda's fourth factory was built in Kumamoto and began operations in 1976. It is built on the largest property of all of Honda's factories and is in a great location. The factory produces motorcycles and power products. The Honda Kumamoto Welcome Park opened in March 2025, right at the factory entrance. The park features various motorcycles and power products made at the Kumamoto factory. It is open to locals, so feel free to stop by. The Welcome Park is a facility that adults and kids alike can enjoy as they experience the history and craftsmanship of Honda.
