    Kawashiri Town began in the Kamakura period and thrived as a port town after Lord Kato Kiyomasa’s flood control projects. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the historic streets lined with cultural properties and scenic heritage buildings, including the nationally designated Kawashiri Rice Storehouse site.
